To find the unit rate per hen you need to take 65/13=5, because there are 13 hens and 65 eggs laid. We need to find how many eggs that each hen laid for the unit rate and to find that we divide the total amount of eggs by the amount of hens. Therefore each hen in one week laid 5 eggs.
